Little holiday in Switzerland + Agility FCI World Championship

A few days before the World Agility Championship we took as a holiday in Swiss at our friend’s. On Sunday we participated in a small competition in agility. Monday and Thuesday was full of hiking in the Alps and on Wednesday we took of to Austria where was our representation hotel and started to get ready for World Agility Championship event.

Border Collie Classic, Bettembourg, Luxembourg

Border Collie Classic After "long" one year is comming BIG days for all border collie owners... agility owners:-) At BCC 2009 were entered more than 70 BC to A1 class (Friday) and more than 210 teams to A2+A3 class (Saturday, Sunday). Judges: Manuel Alff, Claude Beullens, André Mauer and Tom van de Laar

Grey - our fantastic run at Sunday jumping ( 8th place!!!) was our the biggest success at this competition. Grey run very concentraded and fast and DID clean run! ... Grey, more the same runs please... OK?:-))) THANKS!:-))

Jackie - run very nice - in her 8 years she started to run little slower than in past, but she still likes agility a lot and THIS is our TRIUMPH:-)

Nexee - I started with Nexee only in 2 parcours on Saturday and 2 parcours on Sunday. Nexee run in my eyes very nice, her season is past and Nexee is back with "fresh head" -yipieee:-))

Really BIG agility competition - entered more than 690 dogs, about 350 dogs in large category!

Nexee was in season, so her concentration could be better. But I was glad that all contact-zones were perfect. I hope after Nexee´s season her concentration come back and our competiton could be more succesful...:-)

INTERCANIS agility competition in Brno

Finally a change from previous qvalification... we took this with more relaxing style. Jackie and Grey had little problems with zones so the results could be better.... Only Nexee's 2nd place in A3 and Jackie's 1st place in Agility are worth mentioning.

Second (last) agility qualifications for IMCA and WC, Opava, Czech Republic

After first "rainy" qualificaions we thought that it can't happend twice. We deciede to come on friday so we do not have to travel in the morning. The rain didn't stop all friday and we went to bed with unpleasant images of tommorow's sllipery ground and cold wind. But as a really nice suprise there was no rain over all weekend and dogs could enjoy best weather they could have. Grey who is not a fan of slippery ground had problems with getting over obstacles and many ended on the ground.
On the other hand Nexee had couple clear runs, few with one fault and 2 discqualifations. With hard parcours I was very happy to see us solve many problems and take total 5th place.

We are very very proud, because Nexee has qualified for this competitions:

- EUROPEAN OPEN - The Netherlands, 23.-25.July   WEBSITE

- IMCA - Hungary, 4.-6.September 2009  WEBSITE

- FCI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Austria, 17.-19.September 2009   WEBSITE

Czech championship of Border Collies (BCCCZ) Česká Skalice

We really like coming to BCCCZ not only because it is one of the most largest competitions in Czech (about 200 BC) but also the organization and place is really awesome.This year I decided to run with all 3 dogs. Nexee, Grey and Jackie were in A2+A3 category. There have been a lot of Black Chevers dogs as in adults but also in puppies category. This was first more then one day competition for Jackie after her operation and she did it very well. Grey and Nexee did a lot of very nice runs and both were placed on 2nd place:-)
This year we had Carl de Rouck from Belgium and Ronald Mouwen form Holland as judges.

For this challenging weekend was caused by our pleased visitor Bob Tunnicliff from Littlethorn kennel from England who was invited to judge this show by Slovakia club. I gladly accepted to be ring steward and my brother translator.

After Saturday's pleasant but hard work I could should to Bob my dogs in agility ring in Kamenny Mlyn nearby Bratislava. I was glad I could show to Bob our Nexee and others in real and not only on youtube:-)). Nexee ended up 2nd in A3 category.
Gray had hard time with obsticles but otherwise it was really good performance.

First agility qualifications for EO, IMCA and WC, Brno, Czech Republic

After a few years pause I decided to go to the qualifications again. This time with Grey and Nexee in LA category and compete with over than 50 best team in Czech! Unfortunately the weather wasn't our friend and it rained all weekend which cause a ton of water on parcur and also a mud. Not only people were carefull about every step they make byt also dogs, and a bad move ended up in some bad falls which wasn't very pleasant. Nexee was able to overcome weather and dificulties in parcurs and qualificate in European Open!

Unfortunately Grey had problem with obsticles due to the weather.
